Groups & Special Interests

Please feel free to make suggestions for other groups and special interests!

Coffee Club

Moms bring your children for a morning chat over a beverage and possibly breakfast. Moms may choose to meet at a member's home, coffee shop or a restaurant. We try to set a time to also include moms with school age children. The best time for these moms would be after dropping children off at school.

Babysitting Coop

The babysit
ting coop is one of the most popular groups in MOMS Club® chapters. The babysitting coop allows moms to trade hours of babysitting without exchanging money. Our coop operates on a point system. Moms “earn” points by sitting for other children or “spend” points by having another coop member sit for her children. Of course, the final decision of sitting or using a babysitter always rests with the mom, not the MOMS Club.

Book Club

This is a club for those that enjoy reading and want to discuss books. Members take turns selecting a book to read. This group meets once a month to discuss a book while the children play. Reading the book is optional and anyone can join in the discussion.

HOOT & HOWL

This special group is for moms with “Husbands Out Of Town” and “Husbands Out Working Late Shifts.” HOOT & HOWL includes moms and children and meets at 5:00 pm for some fun and dinner. Some fun gatherings may include: pottery painting, pizza party, bring your own bagged supper, indoor play with snacks at a local mall. This group may be held in a public place or a mom’s home.

Mommy Playgroup

We all know how quickly our babies grow to school age children! This playgroup was created specifically for moms whose children are all in school. Moms benefit from being around moms and children of all ages. At the same time, it’s nice for moms in this different stage of motherhood to share common experiences. The mommy playgroup meets during the day while the children are in school. These moms may decide to meet for coffee, lunch, shopping trip, take a class together, exercise, and many more activities.

Recipe Club

We meet once a month, at a member’s home, to socialize while eating a big batch of food, share recipes and watch the children play. The host of the month chooses a theme such as American, Italian, Mexican or desserts. During the holidays, group members and their children make goodies together. Children love to use cookie cutters and eat their favorite shapes.

Exercise Club

Runners:
Moms may choose to run while pushing their children in a jogger and have children tag along on bikes.

Walkers and Bikers:
Moms and children ride bikes, tag along in strollers, ride in wagons and enjoy the nice weather. We meet at local parks and bike trails in the spring and summer months. During the winter, we meet for a mall walk.

Scrapbook Club

This is a great opportunity to work on your scrapbooks while children play. Join other moms and share layouts, organization and other scrapbook ideas. Moms meet at a scrapbook business or rotate homes
